Senator Chuck Hagel introduced legislation (S.1092) yesterday to increase the H quota.

On 4/10/07, Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) introduced the Securing Knowledge, Innovation and Leadership (SKIL) Act of 2007 (S. 1083). Although the bill text is not yet available, the act is expected to propose reforms to address the restrictive H-1B visa cap and alleviate the employment-based green card backlogs. Senator Cornyn authored the bill; original cosponsors include Senators Allard (R-CO), Bennett (R-UT), Hutchison (R-TX), and Lott (R-MS).

In addition to the SKIL Act, on 4/11/07, Senator Chuck Hagel (R-NE) introduced legislation to temporarily increase the number of visas issued to highly skilled workers. Unlike the broader provisions of the SKIL Act, this bill, S. 1092, is expected to focus more narrowly on providing immediate relief from the current H-1B crisis

AILA is reporting that the CIS has announced that the H lottery was being held yesterday April 12 and that non-masters cap adjudications will begin sometime today. Masters cap cases are presently being adjudicated.

The USCIS undertook the H lottery yesterday. We won't know the results
for about two weeks. All masters cap cases have been accepted, however,
and they continue to accept them.

Waiting in belief đi em. Đừng lo quá mà, lo cũng có được đâu. về nguyên tắc là bộ hồ sơ của em đến trước thì sẽ được accepted for processing trước, mà lúc ấy thì nó chưa để ý lắm đến cái check em viết thế nào đâu :D. Sau này xét đến thì nếu check có viết sai chắc nó sẽ báo em viết check lại thôi, chứ lúc ấy đã từ chối hết bọn còn lại rồi thì lấy đâu người mà thay thế cho em nữa :D (AQ thế đã). chưa kể bên luật sư của chị nói là viết payable cho USCIS cũng ko sao nhé. Bình tĩnh đi em.

Thì lo có được gì đâu ạ :(
Thường thì nếu premium process sẽ nhận được thông báo ngay bằng email. Luật sư của bạn em nhận được reciept notification email ngay ngày hôm sau khi submitted.
Thế nên em nghĩ là hồ sơ em nó đang ngâm để đếm số trước đấy mà :(
Năm nay là cái năm gì mà dở hơi thế :( H-1B crisis

mà chỗ em dùng courier deliver nhé. Thế mà nó mất 3 tiếng xếp hàng mới nộp được hồ sơ cho em. Dã man khủng khiếp. Đã căn là 10 am có mặt để nộp, vậy mà đến 1pm mới gọi điện lại nói là vừa xong. :((

I"d like to point out a few important aspects of Senator Hagel's H relief legislation that might not otherwise be obvious. Please note that the proposed legislation only deals with two fiscal years, 2007 and 2008. This is very important, as it makes sure that this temporary relief legislation does not step on the toes of the pending comprehensive immigration reform proposals. This significantly enhances the chances of the emergency relief legislation getting passed quickly.

Second, keep in mind that we are already in fiscal year 2007. If this legislation passes, it will increase THIS YEAR'S quota by 50,000 numbers. This year's quota was exhausted on May 26, 2006. Thus, 50,000 new H slots would open up immediately for immediate employment.

The fiscal year 2008 quota, which was reached for non-masters exempt cases on April 3rd of this year would suddently be increased by 130,000 additional new numbers.

Ủa cũng mới là propose thôi mà đúng ko, chứ đã có cái gì thông qua đâu. Đọc thế này rối quá. Bao giờ nó thông qua hẵng hay.
Đã bảo rồi, số rồi, cái gì đến thì nó sẽ đến. Chị tự thấy có lo cũng chả giải quyết được vấn đề. Cứ đi chơi cho thoải mái đầu óc. cái gì mình ko control được thì để ra ngoài đầu đi.
Giờ có mấy thứ trong vòng control của mình mà thấy ko control được mới đáng lo chứ.

cái này cũng giống như dự báo của các luật sư về crisis trong vòng 2 ngày đầu mà chị. Rất nhiều khả năng là sẽ được thông qua.
